Obscure, Eccentric and Missing Lists from the Colony of New South Wales 1783~1823

Over many years of research the editor made a habit of keeping record of all manner of lists of persons from the New South Wales colonial era along with sources. At first simply out of personal interest and to prevent losing track of their location, however, over time it became apparent that this growing collection might be of interest to other researchers. It also became possible to assemble a selection of useful lists that were likely not recorded back in the era and to re-create some that had not survived. It is hoped that the material, some never before seen and certainly never transcribed, is the most useful selection and may contain the keys to clarifying the identity and activity of various persons of the Colonial era for the professional and the personal researcher.
