Only one convict ship arrived in NSW in 1795. The ship Sovereign arrived at Port Jackson on 5th November 1795. There was a single convict aboard – Joseph Gerrald who later became known as one of the the Scottish Martyrs

There were no known emancipated convicts, or free persons allowed to enlist into the NSW Corps in 1795
