Marks the arrival at New South Wales
Listing of arrival vessels for Marines aboard the Transports in Jan 1788 has not survived. The information contained in this section concerning Marine arrivals is new and revised, based on extensive detailed analysis of all known primary data concerning the movements of the NSW Marines in relation to their departure and arrival vessels. These lists differ to other 2nd source lists. Marines that arrived as part of the compliment aboard HMS Sirius and HMAT Supply are well documented. For the final leg of the voyage from the Cape of Good Hope Governor Phillip and Lieut Dawes transferred to Supply and Lieut-Gov Ross and 2nd Lieut Long transferred to Scarborough which was a faster vessel, and would see them amongst the first arrivals at Botany Bay. These are the first lists to include a second marine named Charles Reynolds aboard Charlotte who had previously been unrealised until determined by the editor in May 2017
